The farm in Loreto Aprutino is divided into two bodies each 6 hectares large. One side, growing Montepulciano, is located at an altitude of 300-350 metres on the south-east facing slope of a clayey-sandy hill with a high salt content, as seen by the presence of badlands in the surrounding area. The other side of the farm, at 400 metres, has a strong presence of limestone in the soil, and is located on a hill ridge with two plots: one facing north growing Trebbiano and one facing south with old Montepulciano d’Abruzzo plants using the ‘tendone’ method.
